Sugar’s the Bad Guy

November 15, 2013

It’s not new news.  But it is good to get reaffirmation and deepen our understanding.

A study recently published in the New England Journal of Medicine found significant correlation between blood sugar levels and dementia.  The research concluded that high glucose levels, even in non-diabetics, are linked to dementia.

Keeping sugars and refined starches to a minimum, and including soluble fiber in out diets (which reduces how rapidly sugars enter the blood) are all good things to help reduce our risk.
