    Acorn has been recognized with both local and national awards. In 2014, we received a Quality Service Award from the Orange County Commissioners. In the same year, our founder was named Dementia Care Professional of the Year by the Alzheimer’s Foundation.

Acorn operates as a registry, also known as a caregiver referral service. We refer screened, qualified caregivers whom we identify through a meticulous, multi-step process including detailed interviews, psychological assessments, background checks and reference checks. Great caregivers are committed to the profession and are passionate about helping others.

Our goal at Acorn is to serve seniors, those recovering from surgery, new and expectant mothers and other loved ones. Options include 24-hour live-in care, weekly, weekend or hourly care. We serve Chapel Hill, Durham, Hillsborough, Pittsboro and surrounding areas in Orange, Chatham, Durham and Wake counties.

We have bonding and general liability insurance to give you greater peace of mind.
