Dementia Detectable in Blood Tests
Exciting, if very preliminary news from the UK regarding diagnoses for dementia: British researchers have developed a test to detect Alzheimer’s disease by looking for a combination of “markers” in the blood which are different in healthy people and those with the disease. This can mean, eventually, a quick and easy blood test that can be done in clinics. This in turn means, potentially, much earlier diagnosis and better treatments.
